Cultural Awareness for Managers and Supervisors Seminar Description |
Managers and supervisors will assess their own cultural diversity sensitivity, and learn about conscious and unconscious prejudices, discrimination and stereotyping that can affect workplace relations. Participants will understand the differences in perceptions, values, expectations, and communication styles of employees from different countries, age groups, genders, disabilities and socio-economic status.
Key awareness concepts and management strategies will be conveyed through interactive discussions and relevant case studies, to help managers and supervisors understand and be sensitive to the unique needs and talents of culturally-diverse individuals and work groups.

Management and supervisory professionals, born and educated in the United States,
who are dealing with cultural differences in their workplace.
"New North Americans", or management professionals born and (mostly) educated outside Canada and the United States (immigrants, expatriates) who have worked in North American organizations for a couple of years.
